Assignments for next week (Wk 9 of the semester)

Lab Schedule

For the next couple of weeks, two or more of the lab sections will be out of sequence with the other sections. I will be posting the weekly assignments by Lab Session and it is your responsibility to check these blog postings so that you are sure what material is due for each of your upcoming labs.

As can be seen from the lab schedule below, we are currently in the 8th week of the semester and the labs scheduled for this week are:

  • Lab 6 for sections 805, 808
  • Lab 7 for sections 801, 802, 803, 804,  806, 807, 809

Assignments

The following are the lab assignments that are due for your next lab meeting.

Lab 7 (sections 805, 808)

  1. Complete the 4 parts from the Lab 6 challenge sheet.
  2. Create an Arduino circuit as detailed in the lab handout.
  3. If you have misplaced the handout you can download a copy from here.

Lab 8 (sections 801, 802, 803, 804,  806, 807, 809)

  1. Pre-Lab 7: (SolidProfessor tutorials that provide a more in-depth exploration of the creation of 2D drawings.
  2. Based upon the techniques covered in these tutorials you will create a 2D multi-view drawings of the two parts. One of the parts will require you to add an auxiliary view and  the other part requires a section view. You should decide on the correct number of other views that are required in order to specify all required information. The 2D drawings should use ANSI standards and use the default size A sheet - landscape. The parts and instructions on how to set the ANSI standard and the drawing sheet size are located in the Lab 7 folder on the google drive.
  3. Continue working with the Arduino board - Lab 8 will begin with a quiz that will require you to set up and program a simple circuit to perform a specific function. You should review the code that we used in lab this week. This code is located on the public share directory in the lab. A copy will also be placed in the Lab 7 folder.
